All in a Day's Work
All in a Day’s Work explored how innovation in the domestic sphere has invisible costs that disproportionately affect women. The exhibition demonstrated how the evolution of familiar devices like the washing machine enabled women to enter the workforce and enjoy leisure, while simultaneously raising the expectations of how much they should accomplish.

Emphasized by modern day statistics, the goal was to illuminate the unequal burden that women have carried and continue to carry when it comes to household labor.

Based on the intended audiences, bilingual interpretation in English and Spanish was provided throughout the exhibition.

The entire exhibition was laid out like a house, featuring artifacts where they would typically be found. Interactives were designed to reveal information and allow visitors to contextualize objects.
